Anemone

Expect daisy-like flowers in mixed shades of blue from this Anemone blanda Blend bulb collection. This variety naturalises which makes it particularly suitable for ground cover, giving you a carpet of green interspersed with the blue flowers. Blooming in March and April, the bulbs should be planted in the autumn in good, well-drained soil and a sunny spot in the garden.

Ideal for ground cover.

Plant Care & Advice

Anemone will grow in a wide range of soils provided there is good drainage. They like sunshine or partial shade and a good supply of humus such as leaf mould or compost. Excellent for naturalising (leaving in for flowers year after year) in borders, containers, rockeries, wild gardens and woodland. Fully hardy. Will not need any attention for some years when they may be lifted, divided and replanted. Soak the corms in water for 3 hours before planting as this helps them to establish. De Caen and St Brigid grow well with ranunculus.
