It produces consistently heavy crops of very late ripening currants - excellent for extending the season, it also ensures that this variety has good resistance to frost.

After planting, prune all stems back to 5cm (2in) above the ground. In later years, remove about 25% of the stems to encourage new growth from the base. Mulch yearly with well rotted compost or manure to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Water well in dry periods and apply a growmore type fertiliser in the spring.
Orders are wrapped in strong polythene to retain moisture, before being packed for despatch direct to your home.
