This early-flowering Crocus Species Blend bulb collection is bursting with colour. The selection is easy to grow and needs very little maintenance, rewarding both you and passing pollinators with a good mix of flowers in different shades appearing from out of the slender green leaves. Perfect for naturalising around trees or in the grass, they also look lovely in the front of borders or gathered together in containers. Plant the bulbs in the autumn for an impressive floral display in March and April. The bulbs will tolerate most well-drained soils and are happy in full sun. Ideal for planting up in nice containers for scented, growing gifts.

Crocus will grow in a wide range of soils provided there is good drainage. They like sunshine but the flowers will last longer in partial shade. Excellent for naturalising (leaving in for flowers year after year). Suitable for rockeries, between shrubs and in any kind of container. Should they become overcrowded after a few years, lift when the foliage has died down, divide and replant. When planting, place wire netting just under the soil surface to prevent mice or squirrels eating the corms.
