With numerous, tiny, but perfectly formed blooms on each stem, Narcissus Minnow is a delightful dwarf variety. The beautfully scented flowers have creamy-white outer petals with a striking yellow cup. Perfect for naturalising around trees or in the grass, their size also makes them perfect for the front of borders or containers. Plant the bulbs in the autumn for a floral display in March and April. The bulbs will tolerate most well-drained soils and are happy in full sun or partial shade. Narcissus Minnow has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.

Daffodils like well-drained but moist, humus rich soil in sun or partial shade. Avoid very dry areas such as under conifers. Plant informally in groups; ideal for rock gardens, containers and terraces. Can be left undisturbed for years, although should they become overcrowded, once the leaves have withered, lift, divide and replant immediately.
