Plant Care & Advice

Narcissus 'Pipit' thrives in full sun or partial shade  can be grown in any free-draining soil in beds, borders, containers or through grass.  Either remove the pot and plant into well prepared soil by digging a hole twice the size of the pot, or simply plunge the pot into a border or larger container and remove it once the flowers have been enjoyed. Plant bulbs during autumn in holes 2-3 times the depth of the bulb. Position one bulb per hole  with the pointed side facing upwards and cover back over with soil. Narcissus bulbs don't need to be watered in and when in growth they do not require watering unless they are planted in pots which look thoroughly dry. There is no need to feed Narcissus, but an occasional application of all-purpose liquid feed before they flower may increase flowering. Allow fading flowers and foliage to die back naturally.
